New year, new streaming content.
Streaming giant Netflix have revealed a slate of new series and films coming our way in 2020, including returning favourite series Sex Education, which will see Otis Milburn ( Asa Butterfield ) continue to be caught between his new girlfriend Ola Nyman (Patricia Allison) and old crush Maeve Wiley (Emma Mackey).
Meanwhile, if you were a big fan of To All The Boys I Loved Before then you are in luck as a new sequel film is coming your way with Lana Candor and Noah Centineo reprising their roles for the new outing which will see a new arrival named John Ambrose (Jordan Fisher) throw a spanner in the works of the romance between Lara Jean and Peter.
Here's some of what we have to look forward to on Netflix in 2020.
Sex Education S2 -January 17, 2020
Sex Education is about Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield), a socially awkward high school student who lives with his sex therapist mother, Jean (Gillian Anderson). In season 1 Otis and his friend Maeve Wiley (Emma Mackey) set-up a sex clinic at school to capitalise on his intuitive talent for sex advice.
In season 2, as a late bloomer Otis must master his newly discovered sexual urges in order to progress with his girlfriend Ola (Patricia Allison) whilst also dealing with his now strained relationship with Maeve. Meanwhile, Moordale Secondary is in the throes of a Chlamydia outbreak, highlighting the need for better sex education at the school and new kids come to town who will challenge the status quo.
Next in Fashion - Early 2020
Next In Fashion is a high-stakes competition series coming soon to Netflix featuring some of the world’s best and quietly innovative designers who compete for a chance to become the next big name in fashion.
Hosted by fashion designer and TV personality Tan France (Queer Eye) and designer, model and global style icon Alexa Chung, Next in Fashion begins with eighteen designers who face challenges centering on a different trend or design style that has influenced the way the entire world dresses.
These talented contestants have worked for major brands and dressed A-list celebrities, and will now compete head-to-head to see who has the skill, originality and determination to win the grand prize: $250,000 and an opportunity to debut their collection with luxury fashion retailer Net-a-Porter.
The English Game - 2020
The six-part drama charts the origins of football and how those involved in its creation reached across the class divide to establish the game as the world's most popular sport. The series is written and executive produced by Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes.
White Lines - 2020
In this 10-part mystery, the body of a legendary Manchester DJ is discovered twenty years after his mysterious disappearance from Ibiza, his sister returns to the beautiful Spanish island to find out what happened.
Her investigation will lead her through a thrilling world of dance clubs, lies and cover-ups, forcing her to confront the darker sides of her own character in a place where people live life on the edge. To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You - February 2020
Lara Jean (Lana Candor) and Peter (Noah Centineo) are officially an official couple in this sequel to the hit film To All The Boys I've Loved Before, but then another recipient of one of her old love letters named John Ambrose enters the picture. Is it the end for Lara Jean and Peter's romance?
Wonderland - March 2020
Wonderland follows private detective Spenser (Mark Wahlberg) who gets pulled back into the underbelly of the Boston crime world when he uncovers the truth about a sensational murder and the twisted conspiracy behind it.
Despite repeated threats, Spenser takes justice into his own hands to prove no one is above the law. The film is being adapted from "Robert B. Parker's Wonderland", written by Ace Atkins, a part of the Spenser Series, a best-selling series of detective novels initially written by the American mystery writer Robert B. Parker and later by Ace Atkins.
Eurovision - 2020
Will Ferrell, Rachel McAdams, Pierce Brosnan, and Dan Stevens star in this comedy set around the “The Eurovision Song Contest” - the longest running annual international TV song competition.
When aspiring musicians Lars and Sigrit are given the opportunity of a lifetime to represent their country at the world’s biggest song competition, they finally have a chance to prove that any dream worth having is a dream worth fighting for. The film is directed by Wedding Crasher helmer David Dobkin with a script that Will Ferrell co-wrote.
