Emmerdale's Belle Dingle used nephew Nate Robinson until she could secure his silence, it seems, over the recent crash.
Moira Dingle was almost killed in a hit-and-run, with Jamie Tate confirmed to be the driver.
Only his lover Belle, ex Andrea, mum Kim and now Nate know the truth, and they're all covering it up.
A guilty Belle, the sister-in-law of Moira, has betrayed her family by not only staying quiet, but by also getting together with Jamie after she found out the truth.
Belle confided in Nate who was desperate to tell the police and dad Cain about Jamie.
It wasn't long before both Jamie and Belle began working on him, manipulating him to stay quiet.
From money bribes, the offer of his job back and even Jamie using Belle's mental illness against her and Nate, they were successful.
Nate feared what the secret would do to the family if the truth came out, and while reluctant to stay quiet he saw an opportunity.
He asked for his job back and extra cash as a bribe, finally agreeing to keep their secret.
Belle seemed approving of this at the time and even forced Jamie to pay up.
But since then, she has completely changed her attitude, and went from ignoring him to being smug and rude.
Now that he's been bribed to stay silent, she's dropped him and even helped betray him in the latest episode of the ITV soap.
Nate was angry after a client for the farm didn't show up without a word, soon learning Jamie and Belle were behind it.
Belle, feeling bad for Moira, forced Jamie to give her own farm a new client - in exchange for her staying away from Moira, amid Jamie's fears she would end up spilling the beans.
Not only did Belle end up giving away Nate's client, although she might not have realised it, but Jamie accepted it without informing Nate first.
The two men ended up in a fiery row in the village, but Belle shockingly sided with Jamie and told Cain's son to back down.
As Jamie mouthed off to Nate, mocking him for having a wasted day at work, Belle refused to stick by her family and instead said "Jamie was her family".

Nate, who was with Cain at the time, was stunned to see how much Belle had turned her back on them all.
It's clear Belle doesn't need to silence Nate anymore because of the bribe, but it wasn't long before she dropped him completely was it!
