The second season of Criminal has announced its guest stars ahead of its release on Netflix later this month.

The new episodes will feature Game of Thrones legend Kit Harington, Catasrophe star Sharon Horgan, The Big Bang Theory'sKunal Nayyar, and British acting legend Sophie Okonedo.

The tag line for the second run notes: "Four new cases, four new suspects, one room that changes everything.

"Every suspect has their story."

The announcement comes with the release of posters, imagery and a trailer for the upcoming second run, which now consists of an extra fourth episode compared to last season's three.

The second run will also see former Coronation Street star Katherine Kelly return as icy Detective Inspector Natalie Hobbs, while Lee Ingleby is back as Detective Inspector Tony Myerscough.

The first season of the drama was released last year, along with editions from France, Spain, and Germany.

Each episodes are set in the claustrophobic setting of the suspect interview room and an adjoining observation room where the detectives plan their strategy with each suspect.

Expect topical issues and enigmatic characters from the new episodes.

It is the first major role for Kit Harington since he left behind the role of Jon Snow when Game of Thrones ended last year, now sporting much shorter locks for the part.

Kit Harington's character will pose some questions

His next big film role is due out early next year as he has landed the role of a superhero in Marvel's Eternals.

Kit will play the role of Dane Whitman aka Black Knight, a sword-wielding warrior clad in black - sounds rather familiar!

Meanwhile, Kunal continues to change-up his acting choices after years on the hit US sitcom The Big Bang Theory, while Sharon Horgan too flexes her dramatic muscles away from comedy.

Sophie Okonedo is also due to appear in another Netflix show later this month opposite Sarah Paulson in the new horror-drama Ratched.
