Katya Jones has penned a gushing post to her Strictly partner Nicola Adams.
The professional, 31, and 38-year-old boxer - who made show history as the first ever same-sex couple - will no longer star on the BBC dancing show as they both must isolate after Russian dancer Katya tested positive for Covid-19.
Katya - who it is understood to have shown no coronavirus symptoms - has to self-isolate for 10 days while Nicola - who has tested negative - will have to quarantine for two-weeks as she has been in direct contact with Katya.
And proving that dancing sensation Katya is going to miss the athlete she took to Instagram shortly after the news broke to pen a special message to Nicola.
The BBC star admitted she was "heartbroken" by the circumstances and dubbed Nicola "her hero" as she uploaded a selfie of herself and Nicola.
Katya captioned the post: "My heart is broken I’m utterly gutted this Special journey had to end this way and you don’t get to give more.
" @nicolaadams You are a woman who didn’t need a hero, you became one. Definitely my hero.
She ended the post: "Meanwhile, please stay safe everybody. And to all my friends who’re still in the show- go for it!"

Nicola also addressed the sad news on Twitter as she micro-blogged: "Hey guys! I’m absolutely gutted my Strictly journey has ended so soon, I had so much more to give and so many people to win this for!
The couple will not be replaced as the series has already kicked off.
The PA news agency reports that a number of Strictly crew members are also self-isolating after coming into contact with Katya.
Katya is said to have no idea where she caught the virus. She is living alone while in a “bubble”with Nicola, who has left her home in Leeds with girlfriend Ella Baig to live in London for the duration of the series.
The rest of the contestants have all tested negative and will continue with the competition on Saturday night.
Strictly Come Dancing's Executive Producer Sarah James said: "We are incredibly sad that these unfortunate circumstances mean that Nicola and Katya are unable to continue on Strictly.
"They are a brilliant partnership and had already achieved so much during their time on the show.
"We'd like to thank them for their commitment and although their time in the competition has sadly come to an end we are hopeful that there will be opportunities for them to dance again in the future."
Whether the pair could return for the next series remains unknown for the time being, after Jamie Laing was allowed back this year following an injury in 2019.
